Julia Richard began serving as the Artistic Director for Carroll Singers in 2018.  She received a BA in Music Education from Bridgewater College, a Master of Music degree from James Madison University, and completed the Dalcroze/Orff/Kodaly Certification at Towson University.  She also successfully completed the National Board Certification process.  Julia has recently retired from 34 years of public school teaching, most recently as the Choral Director at Westminster High School.  She has taught as adjunct faculty at Bridgewater College and McDaniel College and is the choir director at the Westminster Church of the Brethren.  She is passionate about music and singing being a life-long activity and way of bringing people together.
